The competition is to celebrate the new partnership between the McGrath Launceston Running Festival and the Shonan International Marathon.
The Shonan International Marathon is just south of Tokyo and one of the flattest marathons in Asia as it hugs the coastline, with sweeping views of Mt Fuji.
It's the first major marathon in the world to achieve zero waste from paper cups and plastic bottles at drink stations along the course. Their goal is to make the marathon a more environmentally friendly sport.
